I

―――The high priest Imhotep, known as Chancellor to the Pharoah Djoser and high priest of Ra.
A genius that mastered many talents in his lifetime, often called a poet, a judge, an engineer, a magician, a scribe, an astronomer, an astrologer and especially a physician.
In truth, much of his history is shrouded in mystery; in the years that followed his death, he was venerated and even deified, but ultimately the truth remains obscured.

II

Hailing from a divergence that differs from pan history, this figure of Imhotep embodies much of his other self's venerated history. Abandoned as a child and raised under the care of the moon god Thoth, he rose to become the youngest serving high priest in Egypt's recorded history. The then prince Djoser and Imhotep were extremely close during their lives, with each vowing to work together to end the divide between the royal family and the priesthood, to better serve the people of their kingdom. Djoser would become the sun, a beacon of hope for his subjects, while Imhotep would become the moon, to complement Djoser's leadership with wisdom and patience.

III

Upon discovering Djoser was to be ritually sacrificed, Imhotep begin plotting against the priesthood in order to save the prince from destruction. Working tirelessly for the sake of his bond with Djoser, Imhotep began to delve into magic deemed too dangerous for practice by even the high priest himself. Consumed by his arrogance, he believed himself above that restriction and eventually happened upon the answer to his problem; Domnatio Memoriae. Absolute destruction. The ability to wipe anything from existence. It would be the key to saving his friend and forging a path towards the kingdom they promised to build together.

IV

On the night he took action, the priesthood were lying in wait to prevent him from enacting his plan, but once again in his arrogance he ignored them. Upon casting Domnatio Memoriae upon the great gate Djoser was to be sacrificed to, he discovered that his spell had failed; he sought to erase whatever it was that lay beyond that gate and sought Djoser as a sacrifice. Instead, he erased the gate itself, as chaos began to spill forth from the other side and consume everything in its path. It released a whole host of evil spirits, the shadowy reflection of the egyptian gods that represented their malevolence and terrible powers, as well as Apep, the embodiment of chaos. In trying to rescue a single person, Imhotep had doomed not only Egypt, but the world itself.

V

Seeking shelter within the nearby Djoser, the great darkness that spilled forth from the gate consumed him, creating a twisted creature that declared itself the king of the magai. Upon seeing what he had wrought, Imhotep had no choice but to turn on what remained of his best friend and kill him for the sake of fixing his mistake. Having committed the greatest sin and branded a heretic, Imhotep was doomed to never die, instead sealed away by the ennead themselves for all eternity until they required his services. Nothing but a tool of the gods.

Despite his small stature, Imhotep is over 3000 years old with (mostly) the mentality to match. Although his self assured haughtiness cannot hope to match that of a King, he carries himself with both pride and confidence in his abilities that can be a little overbearing at times. He often acts on his own when need be, but that doesn't mean he won't make use of those around him to fulfill his objectives. Solidarity was something taught to him by Djoser and something he keeps close to his heart, even now.

Even so, the sin of what he has done weighs heavily on his heart. No matter how kind he may be, he refuses to be called a hero. No matter how many people he saves, he refuses to be called a saviour. Imhotep readily accepts the weight of what he has done, even going so far as to refuse erasing Djoser with Domnatio Memoriae, as erasing Djoser is the same as erasing what he has done. Imhotep, despite his arrogance and whimsy, is someone who understands the weight of responsibility better than most. He lives in the hope he can make up for his mistakes.

Class skills

Item Creation: B: Given the many areas of study he excelled in while alive, Imhotep has the capability of constructing many kinds of magical tools with a variety of functions. He is, however, limited to that which originated in Egypt.

Territory Creation: A: As the highest ranking priest of his era, Imhotep is granted the capability of creating a temple which is superior to a workshop.

Personal skills

Protection of the Moon: A+: As a son of Thoth, Imhotep is provided his father's divine protection who watches over him always. It grants him protection from magic equivalent to that of A rank magic resistance, though its effect is lessened against spellcasters with divinity proportionate to their rank. It also grants him Divinity of the same rank, given his unique relationship to Thoth as his alter ego.

High speed divine wisdom: A: The ability to not only recite words swiftly, but to absorb information from them as well. Imhotep was the most learned of the priesthood, capable of grasping each page of a book entirely by only reading through it once. Were he not granted knowledge of the modern era via the grail, he could catch himself up quickly so long as he was given the appropriate texts, including learning foreign languages with little in the way of proper study. Perhaps another benefit of his father's divine guidance.

Noble Phantasms

Platonic Suspension Device: That which binds mystery
Rank: A
Type: Anti-unit
Range: 1
Maximum number of targets: 1

The platonic suspension device is a tool of the Egyptian gods creation, crafted for the sole purpose of confining the makai inside of it. The makai were dark imitations of the true Egyptian gods, existing only to spread maladies and curses across the land, growing not from the prayers and wishes of humanity, but from their despair, suffering and in the end, even their lives. As the one who created them, Imhotep was tasked with their capture and gifted this tool not only as a benefit against them, but also as a symbol of his service to the gods.

When activated, the platonic suspension device is capable of confining a single entity that harbors mystery not found within the modern era inside of it. When confined, the abilities of whatever Imhotep has captured are his to command. It is most effective against familiars summoned by other servants, or noble phantasms that involve the summoning of a creature of some kind. The device can work on a servant, but the servant must be no longer bound to their Master. Furthermore they will only be capable of fighting to a fraction of their full strength.

Staff of Thoth - The moon peers down from heaven
Rank: EX
Range: 1~99
Maximum number of targets: 1~99

The true form of the platonic suspension device, this staff was simply believed to be a staff modeled after Thoth and served as a symbol of the high priest's connection to the god of the moon. In truth, however, this was the staff belonging to Thoth that was inherited by each succesive high priest, as each high priest was - unknown even to the individuals themselves - simply reincarnations of Thoth that served as his Alter Ego. Until the moment of their death, they would behave independently but mostly resembles Thoth extremely closely, but in their dying moments Thoth would regain control of himself, wipe them clean and start all over again.

The staff is a divine construct of the highest rank, a physical manifestation of the moon's power, knowledge and influence on Earth. It acts as a catalyst through which the wielder may cast any manner of spell regardless of their affinity, owing to the depths of Thoth's knowledge.

im taking notes as i canon review

he's 3000 years old
abandoned by his parents and raised by thoth to a certain age
former high priest who just kinda fucked off
can summon anubis soldiers, sekhmet and thoth
very very skilled at magic
asetos is a healing spell that borrows the power of the gods, so it can heal wounds and even dispel curses
he can summon khepri's barque to blast people with solar energy

idk how tall but he's short
maybe like 5ft even
5'2?
it depends on how tall hinome is

he was the high priest at the time of djoser's father being pharoah
the two became friends and im promised to help djoser create an ideal nation where the priests and royal family worked together for the people's sake
when it turned out djoser had to be sacrificed to keep the miasma of hell satiated, he worked tirelessly to find a way to stop it without the required sacrifice
in the end, he fucked up
the miasma pooled into djoser and created some kind of nihilistic, evil djoser
it also created the makai
the makai are meant to assist djoser in taking down the true egyptian gods to take their place
after a long fight im killed fake djoser
the ennead then sealed im away for his sins

he's woken by the ennead during the modern era in order to seal away the makai and once again defeat evil djoser
